WEBINAR
Whether you work at a software company that needs to improve customer retention, a financial services company that needs to mitigate risk, or a retail company interested in predicting customer purchasing behavior, your organization is tasked with preparing, managing, and gleaning insights from large volumes of data without wasting critical resources. Traditional CPU-driven data science workflows can be cumbersome, but with the power of GPUs, your teams can make sense of data quickly to drive business decisions.
In this workshop, you’ll gain an overview on how to build and execute end-to-end GPU-accelerated data science workflows. We will begin with RAPIDS™-accelerated data science libraries, followed by an intro to accelerating ETLs with Spark 3.0. Subsequently we will delve into designing Recommender Systems using Merlin. Finally you will see how to stitch all these libraries together intro a production system by leveraging NVIDIA Triton – our end-to-end MLOps platform and TensorRT to optimize model artifacts.

After a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Namur (Belgium), Dr. Johan Barthélemy joined the SMART Infrastructure Facility of the University of Wollongong (Australia) where he was a Lecturer and the head of the Digital Living Lab researching and developing AIoT solutions focusing on the development new applications of AI and embedded IVA for smart cities and environmental monitoring. Being passionate about applied AI and how to accelerate it with GPUs, he is now a Developer Relation Manager at NVIDIA, helping developers and scientists in their journey to build the next generation of AI-based solution, with a particular focus on Conversational AI.
A large part of Ben's career revolves around the startups ecosystem; he has worked in startups (seed and series D), he was a startup founder, he was in VC, and was also in corporate innovation, where he helps connect corporates to startups and build new business ventures. Ben love being in the startups scene, finding out how startups are coming up with solutions to solve pain points. Ben holds an MBA from IE Business School (Spain) and is based in Singapore, leading NVIDIA Inception efforts to develop the startups & VC ecosystem across SEA and ANZ.
Dr. Deb Goswami is currently responsible for growing NVIDIA’s Accelerated Data Science and Machine Learning developer practice in the Asia Pacific South and ANZ Regions. With over a decade of expertise in scaling and enabling enterprise AI in the region, Dr. Deb is passionate about supporting the developer ecosystem in their AI journey. Prior to joining NVIDIA, Dr. Deb worked on challenging AI problems across a variety of verticals in the APAC region, including Media (SPH, Head of Data), eCommerce (Traveloka, Head of AI), AdTech (Dentsu Aegis Network, Data Scientist) and Telco/Oil & Gas (Reliance Industries, Data Scientist). Dr. Goswami read his PhD in Face Recognition from the University of Surrey, where he also studied for his BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering.
